ST- Moroccan Arabic III

Moroccan Arabic III is offered in a special independent study format through the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Moroccan Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions with a native speaker and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. In order to enroll in this course, students must have completed Moroccan Arabic II or the equivalent.

ST- Burmese III

Burmese III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Burmese. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Burmese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Myanmar (Burma) and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST- Albanian II

Albanian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Albanian. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Albanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Albania and to support course work in Eastern European Studies.

ST-Modern Greek VI

Modern Greek VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Modern Greek I-V or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

ST- Khmer III

Khmer III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Khmer (Cambodian). The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Khmer develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Cambodia and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST- Dutch III

Dutch III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.

ST- Danish V

Danish V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Danish I-IV or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Danish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Denmark and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Cantonese/Mandarin Spkrs IV

Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Cantonese develop speaking and listening skills needed to live and work in a Cantonese-speaking environment.

ST- Sinhala II

Sinhala II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Sinhala (Sinhalese). The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Sinhala develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Sri Lanka and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

ST-HaitianCreole/HeritSpkrs II

Haitian Creole for Heritage Speakers II is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.
