ST-Ser-Croatian VII

Serbo-Croatian VII (Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian VII) is an intermediate-level course in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian for students who have completed Serbo-Croatian I-VI or the equivalent. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, or Montenegro and to support course work in European Studies or Balkan Studies.

ST- Haitian Creole V

Haitian Creole V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Haitian Creole I-IV or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

ST- Bangla/Bengali III

Bangla/Bengali III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bangla. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bangla/Bengali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Bangladesh and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

ST-Cantonese/MandarinSpkrs III

Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Amharic III

Amharic III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Amharic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Amharic develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ethiopia and to support course work in African Studies.

ST-Media Turkish B

This course is for early advanced students of Turkish. The goals of the course are to increase knowledge of media-related vocabulary, to increase listening comprehension, to enhance knowledge of Turkish media culture, and to gain practice in expressing ideas and opinions orally and in written form.

ST- Georgian VI

Georgian VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Georgian I-V or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

ST- Moroccan Arabic III

Moroccan Arabic III is offered in a special independent study format through the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Moroccan Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions with a native speaker and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. In order to enroll in this course, students must have completed Moroccan Arabic II or the equivalent.

ST-Cantonese/Mandarin Spkrs IV

Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Cantonese develop speaking and listening skills needed to live and work in a Cantonese-speaking environment.

ST- Dutch III

Dutch III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.
