ST- Burmese III

Burmese III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Burmese. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Burmese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Myanmar (Burma) and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST- Tibetan IV

Modern Tibetan IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Modern Tibetan. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet or Tibetan-speaking areas and to support course work in Asian Studies or Buddhist Studies.

ST- Sinhala II

Sinhala II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Sinhala (Sinhalese). The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Sinhala develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Sri Lanka and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

ST- Danish V

Danish V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Danish I-IV or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Danish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Denmark and to support course work in European Studies.

ST- Greek VI

Modern Greek VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Modern Greek I-V or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-HaitianCreole/HeritSpkrs II

Haitian Creole for Heritage Speakers II is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

ST- Greek VII

Modern Greek VII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Modern Greek I-VI or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

Malay III

Malay III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Malay. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Malay develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Malaysia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

Amharic IV

Amharic IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Amharic. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Amharic develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ethiopia and to support course work in African Studies.
