The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of de-democratization, governance and legal reason under the current hegemony of neoliberalism. The traditional modern rationality of the Nation-State, as known for Western societies, has undergone profound structural changes under the current hegemony of neoliberal reason; with both economic and political consequences. This course will explore the sociological and ontological consequences that emerge from the current crisis of liberal democracies.

Fast-paced and self-directed study of topics in Algebraic Graph Theory, using the text by Godsil and Royle. Students will present material from the book to one another in weekly class meeting, and prepare a final project.

The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to the basic concepts for the critical study of Law, both in US and in the international context. For the purpose of this course, Law is understood as a social relationship and as a hegemonic mode of social regulation that cannot be exclusively reduced to its positive and state-centered dimension as commonly predominates in Western thought. Its genealogy is rooted on both formal and informal sources.
