Economic Analysis for Managers

This course reviews the foundations of modern economics with an emphasis on its applications in business. Course coverage includes a range of both microeconomic and macroeconomic subjects. Topics include demand and supply analysis, consumer theory, theory of the firm, unemployment, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, economic growth, the causes and consequences of recessions, and issues in global economics.

S-Broadcast Performance

This class is designed to help you understand the principles of broadcast
presentation, including procedures and methods to use the voice, face and
body as tools for communicating. There will be an emphasis on performing
journalism on television, radio and online media. Through in-class
exercises, drills and homework assignments, students will develop and
practice skills for narration and on camera news delivery, including field
reporting and in-studio anchoring. Upon completion of this class, students

SENIOR CAPSTONE SEMINAR

The culminating experience for the book studies concentration is an independent research project that synthesizes the student’s academic and practical experiences. The student’s concentration adviser may or may not serve as the sponsor for the project; topics for this capstone project is decided in concert with the student’s adviser and vetted by the concentration’s director. The seminar meets once each week to discuss methodology and progress on the independent projects and to discuss general readings in book studies theory and praxis.

Independent work in biochemistry can be conducted with any member of the biochemistry committee and, upon approval, also with other members of the biological sciences and chemistry departments and program in neuroscience and behavior.
