In this first-year seminar, students will explore topics relevant to the Social and Behavioral Sciences within Latin American and U.S. Latinx communities through a range of multimedia assignments. Each week, we will engage new topics relevant to SBS majors. Students will reflect upon these topics from various perspectives in order to hone in on their own research interests. By the end of the semester, students will practice setting academic goals by developing a plan to articulate and explore their research interest.
