The 2016-2017 Feinberg Family Distinguished Lecture Series will explore the ways that state violence, mass incarceration, and mass criminalization have transformed the U.S. economy, culture and society. This one-credit course is offered in conjunction with eligible History Department courses in the Fall 2016. Natural Language Processing (NLP) uses mathematics, data, and linguistics to teach computers how to understand human language. Assignments and programing projects to implement and improve NLP systems, such as machine translation and parsing. Honors Enrichment: Extra readings from research papers and discussion. Students will be responsible for paper presentations.

ST-Sci-BasedEntrepr&LeanLaunch

This course will expose students to basic entrepreneurship concepts with an emphasis on validating business models through the Lean Launchpad methodology. In addition to the experiential component, content experts will contribute presentations on a variety of entrepreneurial topics. This course is designed primarily for graduate students in STEM disciplines. The course does not require a previous background in entrepreneurship nor that students enter with an idea for a new venture.
