ST- Burmese VII

Burmese VII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Burmese I-VI or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Burmese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Myanmar (Burma) and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST-Written Persian IV

Written Persian IV is designed for students who have advanced fluency in spoken Persian but need to learn to read and write. The course format includes individual tutorials. The course continues the review of Persian grammar and structure started in Written Persian I, II, and III. By the end of the course, students should be able to read standard Persian and be able to compose simple texts such as dialogues, paragraphs, and letters in written Persian.

ST-Danish III

Danish III is the thirdpart of a four-part elementary course sequence in Danish. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Danish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Denmark and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Bangla/Bengali II

Bangla/Bengali II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bangla. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bangla/Bengali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Bangladesh and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

ST-Indonesian V

Indonesian V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Indonesian I-IV or the equivalent. The course format combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and one-on-one peer-tutoring. Students studying Indonesian develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Indonesia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST-Czech VI

Czech VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Czech I-V or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Urdu VI

This course combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and one-on-one peer-tutoring. Students studying Urdu develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan and to support course work in South Asian Studies.
