Weekly lectures by guest artists and faculty, group discussions in residence halls and Fine Arts Center classrooms, attendance at Fine Arts Center Performing Arts Series events, Department of Music and Dance events, and University Museum of Contemporary Art exhibitions. Presents an international perspective emphasizing cultural and social diversity. Topics include elements and styles of Western European "classical" music; artistic expression of African-American culture in jazz; styles, choreography and production of dance; theater; photography and visual art.

ST-Applied Zoology & Ev Bio

This course provides an overview of animal diversity, evolution, behavior, morphology, and physiology. It will help develop an understanding of the interrelationships of form function, ecology, and behavior, with an emphasis on the processes of evolution and the patterns generated by these processes in addition to applying these concepts to contemporary conservation challenges, including an understanding of their application towards landscape ecology.

P- Intro to Exhibit Design

Students in this course will read key texts in the practice of exhibit design, including work on writing for exhibits, exhibit planning, and design. Some field trips will be involved. Students will be expected to develop, as a team, a complete exhibit plan ready to transmit to designers.
