Learning/Career Exploration
This course introduces students to inquiry, analysis, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication through career exploration. We will use David Kolb?s Experiential Learning Theory to understand how cognition, experience, experimentation, and reflection influence the learning process, and Donald Super?s Career Development Theory (1996) as the foundation for understanding that career development is a life-long process rather than an isolated decision. Topics will include exploration, challenging assumptions, research, and hands-on experience.
