ST-Khmer I

Khmer I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Khmer. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Khmer develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Cambodia and to support course work in Asian Studies.

Feminism and Buddhism both are concerned with suffering and liberation from suffering. Both seek to bring about change through the development of awareness and the overcoming of ignorance. Both address these issues as they pertain to individual minds and bodies and to group-level processes and social structures. How can these two fields engage in closer conversation with each other? Although we will examine the historical and contemporary contributions of women Buddhist teachers and practitioners, this course is not about ?women in Buddhism.?

ST-Dutch I

Dutch I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.

S-All-University Orchestra

This ensemble provides all University members an opportunity to perform in a non-competitive atmosphere and achieve success according to one's individual goals. Students will be required to practice before each rehearsal. One performance will be given each semester. Attendance is mandatory. An audition is required.

STEM-Ambassadors Program- Spr

This is a continuation of the Fall course. Students work in small groups with a research faculty advisor and graduate student mentor. They engage in a variety of activities related to STEM research, education and outreach. Students experience the STEM research culture at the university, engage in group and independent research projects, engage in mentoring middles school students, and interact with a diversity of STEM professionals.
