Latin Am Political Thought

This course is an advanced examination of some of the most influential thinkers and works in the tradition of Latin American political thought from the colonial period to the present. At the heart of our inquiry is an investigation of Latin America as a site of critique and decolonial praxis.

S-Mythology of Ancient Persia

What do the Bible, the Iliad, and The Book of Kings have in common? They all represent unique Histories and Mythologies of the Ancient World. In this course we study and analyze the Persian Epic of Shahname (The Book of Kings), a treasure of Ancient Persian Mythology, a World of Kings, Gods, Humans, and Demons.

Honors Project

Honors Project expectations are high. The intended end-product is a traditional project manuscript with accompanying artifact(s), all projects: - are 6 credits or more of sustained research on a single topic, typically conducted over two semesters. - begin with creative inquiry and systematic research. - include documentation of substantive scholarly endeavor. - culminate in an oral defense or other form of public presentation.
