FYS- Engineering Thinking
Students will learn about the engineering mindset. How do we use engineering to solve problems, and what types of societal problems are we able to help solve? What does it mean to think like an engineer?
Events in recent years in the United States and across the globe have revealed how tragic human life can be. But what does it really mean to call something “tragic”? This course explores the tragic condition by reading the most lasting works of Ancient Greek tragedy by Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides alongside modern retellings of these tragedies by authors from diverse communities around the world and in the United States.
