Business Ethics: Strategies

This course will look at the role of ethics in business decision-making. Students will learn about significant aspects of business law and legal compliance issues, as well as important ethical frameworks. Additionally, students will explore ethical challenges faced by businesses, looking at current business decisions made by well-known companies. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with ethical perspectives that will allow for a better understanding of how modern businesses function and the role of ethics in business today.

Anti-Semitism/Hist Perspective

Survey of antisemitism through its various stages of historical development, from ancient times to the present. Primary focus on the intellectual, religious, political, and social roots of Jew-hatred. Special attention to its impact on Jewish life and thought, and to the range of Jewish re-sponses to anti-semitism. Topics include: the Jews in Graeco-Roman society; medieval Christendom and Islam; the emergence of modern political and racial anti-semitism. (Gen.Ed. HS, DG)

Honors Thesis

Honors Thesis expectations are high. The intended end-product is a traditional research manuscript with accompanying artifact(s), all theses: - are 6 credits or more of sustained research on a single topic, typically conducted over two semesters. - begin with creative inquiry and systematic research. - include documentation of substantive scholarly endeavor. - culminate in an oral defense or other form of public presentation.
