Nepali VI

Nepali VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Nepali. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Nepali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Nepal and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Hindi VI

Hindi VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Hindi. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Hindi develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Modern Tibetan VI

Modern Tibetan VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Modern Tibetan. The course is offered through the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet or Tibetan-speaking areas and to support course work in Asian Studies or Buddhist Studies.

Modern Irish VI

Modern Irish VI is the second part in a four-part intermediate course sequence in Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic). The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and to support course work in Celtic Studies.

Modern Greek VI

Modern Greek VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Modern Greek. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

Levantine Arabic VI

Levantine Arabic VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Levantine Arabic. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Levantine Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Levantine Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria or the West Bank and to support course work in Middle Eastern and International Studies.

Georgian VI

Georgian VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Georgian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

Filipino VI

Filipino VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines, developed from Tagalog and other regional languages.The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Filipino develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Philippines and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

Czech VI

Czech VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Czech. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in European Studies.

Haitian Creole VI

Haitian Creole VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Haitian Creole. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program.
