Norwegian II

Norwegian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Norwegian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Norwegian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Norway and engagement with Norwegian-speaking communities, and to support course work in European and Scandinavian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Nepali II

Nepali II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Nepali offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Nepali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Nepal and engagement with Nepali-speaking communities, and to support course work in Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Hindi II

Hindi II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Hindi offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Hindi develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in India and engagement with Hindi-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Modern Tibetan II

Modern Tibetan II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Tibetan offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet, India, and Nepal and engagement with Tibetan-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian and Buddhist Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Mongolian II

Mongolian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Mongolian. The course is offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Mongolian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Mongolia and to support course work in Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Malay II

Malay II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Malay offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
