Armenian III

Armenian III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Armenian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Armenian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Armenia and engagement with Armenian-speaking communities, and to support course work in European Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Amharic III

Vietnamese for Heritage Speakers II is the second part of a two-part elementary course sequence for students with a background in Vietnamese offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator.

Urdu for Urdu-Hindi Spkrs II

Urdu for Hindi-Urdu Speakers II is a course offered through the Five College Center for intermediate or advanced speakers of Hindi or Urdu who want to improve their reading and writing skills in Urdu. A placement interview is required. The course format includes individual tutorials and a final written evaluation. Students will study Urdu grammar and short texts of various genres. By the end of the course, students should be able to read and compose intermediate texts in Urdu.
