This is a stand-alone independent study designed by the student and faculty sponsor that involves frequent interaction between instructor and student. Qualitative and quantitative enrichment must be evident on the proposed contract before consent is given to undertake the study.

This course is designed to accompany an internship experience (remote and/or in-person) and is available to students participating in an internship in the same semester. Experiential learning opportunities not only add value to a student's professional pursuits, but also serve as a vehicle for learning key professional skills such as teamwork, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. The class is intended to expand upon the internship experience through personal reflection, relevant readings, writing, group interactions, subject-matter expert speakers, and site visits.

This course aims at reducing graduation anxiety by helping students figure out and prepare for their next phase. Small action steps written in weekly journal assignments bring self-designed short and long-term career goals into reality. This personalized approach allows each individual to create their own unique plan; be it in the area of work, graduate school, travel, etc. The class will also emphasize the practical skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
