Sem: T-Moral Panics

Broadly defined, the term “moral panic” refers to a state of collective dread regarding forces that threaten to undermine collective values and well-being. Fears of witchcraft in the 17th and 18th centuries, beliefs in widespread Masonic conspiracies in the 19th century, and general paranoia about Communist subversion in the post-World War II era all had significant impacts on the course of modern history.
