Swahili II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Swahili (Kiswahili). The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies.

Hindi II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Hindi. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Hindi develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in India and to support course work in South Asian Studies. Prerequisite: Hindi I or the equivalent.

Urdu II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Urdu. The course format combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and one-on-one tutorials. Students studying Urdu develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan or India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.
