ST- Burmese VIII

Burmese VIII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Burmese I-VII or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Burmese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Myanmar (Burma) and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST- Thai VI

Thai VI the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Thai. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Thai develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Thailand and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST-Indonesian V

Indonesian V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Indonesian. The course format combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Indonesian develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Indonesia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST-Twi V

Twi V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Twi I-IV or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Twi develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and to support course work in African Studies.

ST-HaitianCreole/HeritageSpkrs

Haitian Creole for Heritage Speakers I is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies. This course is an entry-level course for students who already have some basic speaking skills in Haitian Creole.

ST- Albanian I

Albanian I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Albanian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Albanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Albania or Kosovo and to support course work in Eastern European Studies.

ST- Moroccan Arabic III

Moroccan Arabic II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Moroccan Arabic. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Moroccan Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Moroccan Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Morocco and to support course work in Middle Eastern, African and International Studies.
