Amharic III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Amharic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Amharic develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ethiopia and to support course work in African Studies.

This course is for early advanced students of Turkish. The goals of the course are to increase knowledge of media-related vocabulary, to increase listening comprehension, to enhance knowledge of Turkish media culture, and to gain practice in expressing ideas and opinions orally and in written form.

Georgian VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Georgian I-V or the equivalent. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

Moroccan Arabic III is offered in a special independent study format through the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Moroccan Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions with a native speaker and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. In order to enroll in this course, students must have completed Moroccan Arabic II or the equivalent.

Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Cantonese develop speaking and listening skills needed to live and work in a Cantonese-speaking environment.

Dutch III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Modern Tibetan IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Modern Tibetan. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet or Tibetan-speaking areas and to support course work in Asian Studies or Buddhist Studies.

Sinhala II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Sinhala (Sinhalese). The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Sinhala develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Sri Lanka and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Danish V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Danish I-IV or the equivalent. Students studying Danish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Denmark and to support course work in European Studies.
