ST-Levantine V

Levantine Arabic V is offered in a special independent study format through the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Jordanian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions with a native speaker and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. In order to enroll in this course, students must have completed Levantine Arabic IV or the equivalent and be comfortable with advanced level speaking and listening skills.

ST-Tibetan I

Modern Tibetan I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Modern Tibetan. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet or Tibetan-speaking areas and to support course work in Asian Studies or Buddhist Studies.

ST-Pashto IV

Pashto IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Pashto. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Pashto develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Afghanistan or Pakistan and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

ST-Pashto III

Pashto III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Pashto. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program.
