Intro to Legal Reasoning

An introduction to the type of legal reasoning and analysis practised in the American judicial system. Through readings of case opinions and additional materials, the course will explore how legal reasoning works within the legal system, it's application to other types of law related problems, and critiques of both it's theory and practice.

ST-Stochastic Models

Modeling and solution of decision problems under uncertainty. Topics include stochastic dynamic programming (Markov decision processes), covering both finite and infinite horizon problems; and stochastic linear/integer programming. Several computational techniques and applications are presented.
