ST-Dairy Calf Mgmt (Fall)

This course partners the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences with a local dairy farm to provide an animal-intensive learning experience. Small groups (2-4) of participating students working in shifts, are expected to feed and care for dairy calves seven days per week under the direct supervision of the instructor. Students studying Filipino develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Philippines and to support course work in Asian Studies.

S-Tech Applications/Music Ed

The purpose of this course is to provide students the opportunity to explore the application of the latest digital technologies available to music educators. These technologies include digital audio and video, tools for assessment and evaluation, web content, and others. Students will construct projects that will help them examine several pedagogical options, and will develop understandings of the critical role of technology in today's music education classrooms.

ST-Envrnmntl Reaction Kinetics

Environmental Engineers are increasingly called upon to analyze the speed of pollutant conversion in chemical and biological systems. These may be engineered systems such as water and wastewater treatment plants, or natural systems, such as lakes and aquifers receiving industrial pollution. This course examines the rates and kinetics of a range of chemical and biological systems important to Environmental Engineers. These systems are limited to the aqueous phase at atmospheric pressure and near ambient temperature. The fundamentals of kinetic theory are briefly covered.
