In this class, students will acquire hands-on experience in diverse aspects of the research process in any field of Biology, from familiarizing themselves with a research topic, generating interesting questions, designing experiments, acquiring technical skills, collecting and analyzing data, to writing and/or presenting their results. Experiments Across Media
This studio course is designed as an interactive laboratory for students interested in imaginative experimentation to discover and access multiple ways to generate material in different media (dance, theater, visual /digital art, text and/or sound). The course emphasizes a practice of rigorous play and a dedicated interest in process and invention. Also, the course will be informed by a view that anything and everything is possible material for creative and spontaneous response and production.

Feminist Latinx Writing
(Offered as SWAG 322 and LLAS 322) Through the reading of novels, testimonios, manifestos, digital media posts, and non-fiction monographs, we will investigate the connections between key historical events in the Americas and the intellectual and cultural work of Latina, Latinx, and Latin American feminist writers.
Black Europe
(Offered as BLST 294 [D], EUST 294, HIST 295 [EU/TR], and SWAG 294) This research-based seminar considers the enduring presence of people of African descent in Europe from the nineteenth century to the contemporary moment, a fact that both confounds and extends canonical theories of African diaspora and black internationalism. Focusing particularly on the histories of black people in Britain, Germany, and France, this course will take an interdisciplinary approach in its study of the African diaspora in Europe.
