Levantine Arabic V

Levantine Arabic V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Levantine Arabic. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Levantine Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Levantine Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria or the West Bank and to support course work in Middle Eastern and International Studies.

Filipino V

Filipino V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines, developed from Tagalog and other regional languages. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Filipino develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Philippines and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

Egyptian Arabic V

Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian. Students studying Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, or Montenegro and to support course work in European Studies or Balkan Studies.

Haitian Creole V

Haitian Creole V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Haitian Creole. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

Cantonese/Mandarin Speakers V

Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Cantonese develop speaking and listening skills needed to live and work in a Cantonese-speaking environment.
