Urdu VII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Urdu offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Urdu develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan or India and engagement with Urdu-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

This course is an intermediate-advanced course in Yoruba offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study and an evaluation by an outside evaluator, as well as collaborative contribution of course readings and discussion questions. Students studying Yoruba develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and engagement with Yoruba-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and engagement with Swahili-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Romanian VII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Romanian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Romanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Romania or the Republic of Moldova and engagement with Romanian-speaking communities, and to support course work in European Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Norwegian VII is an intermediate course in Norwegian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
