Romanian IV

Romanian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Romanian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Romanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Romania or the Republic of Moldova and engagement with Romanian-speaking communities, and to support course work in European Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Pashto IV

Pashto IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Pashto offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Pashto develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Afghanistan or Pakistan and engagement with Pashto-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Norwegian IV

Norwegian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Norwegian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. Nepali IV

Hindi IV

Hindi IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Hindi offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Hindi develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in India and engagement with Hindi-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Modern Tibetan IV

Modern Tibetan IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Tibetan offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet, India, and Nepal and engagement with Tibetan-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian and Buddhist Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Mongolian IV

Mongolian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Mongolian. The course is offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Mongolian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Mongolia and to support course work in Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Malay IV

Malay IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Malay offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. Modern Irish IV

Irish IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Modern Greek IV
