Albanian II

Albanian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Albanian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Albanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Albania and engagement with Albanian-speaking communities, and to support course work in European and Eurasian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Afrikaans II

Afrikaans II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Afrikaans offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Afrikaans develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in South Africa and engagement with Afrikaans-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Vietnamese for Heritage Speakers I is the first part of a two-part elementary course sequence for students with a background in Vietnamese offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. Urdu for Urdu-Hindi Spkrs I

Urdu for Hindi-Urdu Speakers I is a course offered through the Five College Center for World Languages for intermediate or advanced speakers of Hindi or Urdu who want to learn to read and write in Urdu. A placement interview is required. The course format includes individual tutorials and a final written evaluation. Students will learn to write in Urdu and study Urdu grammar and short texts of various genres. By the end of the course, students should be able to read and compose simple texts in Urdu.

Turkish for Speakers I is a course offered through the Five College Center for World Languages for intermediate or advanced speakers of Turkish who want to learn to read and write in Turkish.
