ST-Mongolian III

Mongolian III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Mongolian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Mongolian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Mongolia and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST-Twi V

Twi V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Twi I-IV or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Twi develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and to support course work in African Studies.

ST- BosnianCroatianSerbian VII

Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian VII is an intermediate-level course in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian for students who have completed Serbo-Croatian I-VI or the equivalent. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, or Montenegro and to support course work in European Studies or Balkan Studies.

ST-Adv Swahili/Hlth Policy Std

This is a course in advanced Swahili speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course focuses on health policies and cultural concepts related to health in East African countries. Students develop skills in describing and narrating in detail, expressing opinions, giving reasons for opinions, and cross-cultural communication. Students develop vocabulary necessary to discuss health and health policy related topics in culturally appropriate ways.

ST-Adv Swahili/Devlpmnt Policy

This is a course in advanced Swahili speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course focuses on economic development and educational opportunities in East African countries. Students develop skills in describing and narrating in detail, expressing opinions, giving reasons for opinions, and cross-cultural communication. Students develop vocabulary necessary to discuss economic, political, and social-cultural topics in Swahili.

ST-Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian VI

Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian VI is the second part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, or Montenegro and to support course work in European Studies or Balkan Studies.

ST-Danish I

Danish I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Danish. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Students studying Danish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Denmark and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Dutch I

Dutch I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.
