ST- Filipino V

Filipino V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines, developed from Tagalog and other regional languages. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Filipino develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Philippines and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST-Mongolian IV

Mongolian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Mongolian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Mongolian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Mongolia and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST-Adv Swahili/Human Rights

This is a course in advanced Swahili speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course focuses on human rights policies in East African countries. Students develop skills in describing and narrating in detail, expressing opinions, giving reasons for opinions, and cross-cultural communication. Students develop vocabulary necessary to discuss economic, political, and social-cultural topics in Swahili.

ST- Haitian Creole V

Haitian Creole V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Haitian Creole I-IV or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

ST- Norwegian VIII

Norwegian VIII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Norwegian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Norwegian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Norway and to support course work in European Studies and Scandinavian Studies.

ST- Czech VIII

Czech VIII is the fourth part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Czech. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in European Studies.

ST- Bulgarian VIII

Bulgarian VIII is the fourth part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Bulgarian. Bangla/Bengali IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bangla. ST- Wolof V
