ST- Modern Irish VI

Modern Irish VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Modern Irish I-V or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and to support course work in Celtic Studies.

ST- Czech VII

Czech VII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Czech. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in European Studies.

Malay IV

Malay IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Malay. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Malay develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Malaysia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

Georgian IV

Georgian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Georgian. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

Afrikaans III

Afrikaans III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Afrikaans. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Afrikaans develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in South Africa and to support course work in African Studies.

Georgian III

Georgian III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Georgian. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

ST-Adv Hindi & Urdu for Health

Advanced Hindi and Urdu for Health and Human Services. A course for advanced speakers of either Hindi or Urdu. The course will be based on videos from "Language for Health: The Practice of Medicine in Hindi and Urdu". The goal is to develop vocabulary and cultural knowledge needed to have conversations about health and human well-being in Hindi and Urdu speaking contexts. Course materials include a diversity of speakers using various styles of Hindi and Urdu. This course is part of the Five College Mentored Hindi and Urdu Program.
