S- Putting/STPEC Educ to Work

This course will explore different avenues for putting a STPEC education to work after graduation. Students will have the opportunity to meet STPEC alums who have pursued a variety of career paths and will participate in workshops to identify what constitutes "purposeful work" for them and how to find employment that accords with their values and goals.

Practical Beekeeping

The practical aspects of beekeeping understood in terms of the life cycle of the bee and the bee colony, and the place of bees in our world. Learning how to acquire, set up, and manage bee colonies. Dissection may be required.

ST-BayesianComputation/Biostat

This course will introduce theory and application of Bayesian methods for analysis of biomedical datasets. A significant part of the course will be hands-on training in Bayesian computation using the R statistical language. Topics to be covered include examples illustrating Bayesian thinking, estimation of single and multi-parameter models and Bayesian computation using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods.
