ST-Corporate Entrepreneurship

This course explores entrepreneurship in the context of corporations and other large organizations. Topics include product development and innovation, new business creation, the role of research and development, and the models to achieve successful growth via entrepreneurial activities within the corporation, with an emphasis on managerial skills, leadership, and culture.

S- Marxism and Literature

Marxism has been one of the most influential, analytically powerful wellsprings of literary theory, yet it is important to understand that it is a complex tradition: there are many Marxisms. This seminar will explore classical and contemporary Marxist theorists, focusing on key questions, concepts, and thematics that they share while distinguishing differences among generations and schools of thought.

Inorganic Chemistry Lab

The synthesis of inorganic materials and their characterization using a variety of physical techniques. Topics include solid state and inert atmosphere techniques and compounds relevant to biological systems. Includes a class project culminating in a written document in professional journal format, and an interactive oral presentation. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-Chem and BS-Chem majors.

ST-Multicultural Theater Prac

In this course, students will examine African and African American theater produced in the 20th and 21st century and written or translated into English. We will observe the differences and similarities between work across geographic and temporal locations and conduct dramaturgical research to support concept statements that could facilitate professional productions of these works.

ST-Adv Hindi & Urdu for Health

Advanced Hindi and Urdu for Health and Human Services. A course for advanced speakers of either Hindi or Urdu. The course will be based on videos from "Language for Health: The Practice of Medicine in Hindi and Urdu". The goal is to develop vocabulary and cultural knowledge needed to have conversations about health and human well-being in Hindi and Urdu speaking contexts. Course materials include a diversity of speakers using various styles of Hindi and Urdu. This course is part of the Five College Mentored Hindi and Urdu Program.
